RETAIL PROGRAM IS BEING RUN UNDER GOVERNMENT OF INDIA, AND COURSE IS DESIGNED BY RAI (RETAILERS ASSOCIATION OF INDIA) WHICH INCLUDES COMPANIES LIKE ADITYA BIRLA GROUP, RELIANCE RETAIL, BHARTI WALMART, FUTURE GROUP, SPENCER & OTHERS.

The Retail Sector is all set to grow in India. The Government of India has allowed 51% foreign direct investment (FDI) in multi brand retail in India which means that foreign supermarket chains such as Walmart, Tesco and Carrefour will be able to setup operations in India in the near future and require many skilled employees in the retail sector. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi have said that Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail will benefit the common man and create more jobs. Retailers Association of India (RAI) believes that FDI in Retail is "a big positive step".

Government of India is pushing Youth towards this sector and providing them Monetary Rewards after completion of the same,
